Abstract:

Photographs show Phoebe Apperson Hearst's Wyntoon estate as rebuilt by Julia Morgan to resemble a Bavarian village. Murals by Willy and John W. Pogány decorate the walls with fairy tale themes. One view shows a 1940 flood at the estate.
